Abstract

The disclosure relates to a fuel supply system for large internal combustion engines, particularly for fuels such as methanol or ammonia. The fuel supply system uses a fuel pipe (at least partially double-walled) with on-engine and off-engine sections. A corresponding return pipe likewise comprises on-engine and off-engine sections and is at least partially double-walled. An extraction line is provided for extracting leaked fuel from at least one of the annular spaces. Other aspects relate to a use of a vacuum ejector for extracting leaked fuel from an engine and a fuel treatment system comprising at least an ammonia slip catalyst and a metal-zeolite catalyst.
