Abstract

This invention introduces new voxelization techniques to address challenges in processing large, detailed industrial models—such as high computational cost, geometric inconsistencies, and the lack of robust evaluation metrics—aiming to advance high-precision 3D printing. It features three innovations: a refinement technique that achieves conservative voxelization while optimizing memory and computation; a method for handling non-manifold edges and vertices to improve geometric integrity; and new metrics for evaluating voxelization accuracy. Together, these techniques enhance voxelization performance and reliability, enabling more precise and scalable 3D printing solutions.
