Abstract
This paper describes a composite virtual projection system that will combine a semi octagonal shaped small projection system and a semi octagonal shaped large projection system together to provide a greater immersion. The entire composite virtual projection system will consist of a semi octagonal shaped small projection system and a semi octagonal shaped large projection system. The semi octagonal shaped small projection system will consist of 4 identical cyclically configured small projection configurations. And the semi octagonal shaped large projection system will consist of 4 identical cyclically configured large projection configurations. each cyclically configured small projection configuration of the semi octagonal shaped small projection system will contain a projection observing convex lens stack, a beam splitter, a concave lens stack, a projection assisting convex lens stack and a video display. And each cyclically configured large projection configuration of the semi octagonal shaped large projection system will contain a projection observing convex lens stack, a beam splitter, a concave lens stack, a projection assisting convex lens stack and a video display. The 4 identical cyclically configured small projection configurations will have the capability to collectively and concurrently project 4 virtual projections onto the field of view of the user. And the 4 identical cyclically configured large projection configurations will have the capability to collectively and concurrently project 4 virtual projections onto the field of view of the user. The entire composite virtual projection system will have the capability to collectively and concurrently project 8 virtual projections.
