Abstract
Disclosed is a securing device configured to releasably secure together first and second intermodal containers located adjacent to one another in respective first and second stacks of intermodal containers, the securing device configured to be operated by an operator at a location remote from the securing device, the location being located at least 3m away from the first and second intermodal containers. A securing system for securing together intermodal containers, a system comprising a first intermodal container, a second intermodal container, and a securing device, and a method of releasably securing together first and second intermodal containers are also disclosed.
