Abstract
Optimum lubrication in various operating conditions is crucial for achieving high efficiency and reliable performance in electric powertrains. Oil foaming can potentially disrupt gearbox lubrication and result in suboptimal performance of oil pump especially when oil suction hole is located near the area that is prone to foaming. The proposed solution discloses a suction inlet tube integrated into the gearbox that moves the location of suction hole to the area less susceptible to oil foaming.
