Abstract
This article describes a novel solution to define and inspect 3D printing recipes. Currently, development of new recipes is done exclusively by R+D teams as it requires internal knowledge of 3D printer firmware and hardware. By introducing concepts such as master segments and segment actions, a visual recipe builder tool, customers of next generation 3D printers can define printing recipes in an intuitive and safe manner. This will facilitate development of new applications and materials.
