Abstract
Traditional capture-the-flag (CTF) platforms, which host competitive games for practicing cybersecurity skills, rely on manually created challenges that are static, time-consuming to develop, and lack personalization and dynamic feedback. This disclosure describes artificial intelligence (AI)-driven techniques that automate and enhance various aspects of the CTF experience such as content creation, player simulation, analytics, etc. Simulated AI players test challenges and provide a dynamic, competitive environment. AI-generated content includes high-quality, context-aware CTF challenges that include the necessary hints, solutions, and file attachments. AI-driven analytics provide a personalized analysis of player performance to identify strengths, weaknesses, and potential cheating. CTF management tasks such as hint generation and challenge categorization are automated.
