Abstract

Traditionally, shielding can is an effective way for blocking RF interference from circuits and chips on PCB to impact antenna. Ideally it should be well grounded, and the gaps that may cause leakage should be as small as possible. However, some cases have limited grounding points which resulted in relatively large gaps, the leakage of RF interference could possibly be bad, and thus further absorber is required to suppress RF interference. The idea here is to apply resistors between shielding can and PCB ground to act as absorber or damping to absorb unrequired RF energy.
