Abstract
A hybrid camera aggregation method includes receiving a set of cameras, where a synchronous subset of cameras in the set of cameras is of a same resolution, a data format, and a trigger and asynchronous cameras in the set of cameras includes individual cameras that are not of the same resolution, the data format, or the trigger, stitching camera frames in the synchronous subset of cameras to create a single super-frame, sending the single super-frame via a first stream that is assigned to a first virtual channel ID, and sending the individual cameras including an individual camera frame via a second stream that is assigned to a second virtual channel ID.
