Abstract

To enlarge the field of view (FOV) in an artificial reality device, we propose a multi wavelength solution which essentially use two different wavelengths and each wavelength will cover a separate portion of the FOV which was tiled in the camera. However, due to the the grating diffraction, there will have ghost imaging. The ghost imaging will decrease the SNR and cause confusion for the algorithm. To address the ghost imaging problem, we propose 1)to use a dual channel camera so that information from different wavelengths can be separated. 2) one may apply time sequential imagining for each color. For each color, the ghost image and desired image each occupies half of the FoV, so they can be separated easily.
