Abstract
We propose a new projector design to generate circular fringe projector for eye tracking. The projector consists of a collimated laser source, a Pancharatnam-Berry phase (PBP) lens, and a linear polarizer. The PBP lens splits incident linearly-polarized collimated laser beam into a converged(diverged) right-handed circular polarization(RCP) beam and a diverged(converged) left-handed circular polarization (LCP) beam. The 2 beams interference generates linear polarization angle distribution along radial direction. The linear polarizer convert the radial linear polarization angle distribution to radial light intensity distribution, which is a circular fringe.
