Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of magnet-based tourniquet system designed for rapid self-application in emergency situations, particularly in wilderness settings. The tourniquet employs magnets or magnetic clips/clasps for fast application and secure fastening, aiming to improve ease of use, particularly in self-administered scenarios. Our research suggests that this system significantly reduces the time required for tourniquet application, offers a more user-friendly experience, and proves effective in a variety of controlled and field-based settings. This study underscores the value of innovation in life-saving equipment, particularly for remote and isolated environments where prompt medical intervention is critical.
