Abstract
Proposed herein is a novel technique to determine the location of networking equipment (e.g., routers, switches, etc.) used in mobile communication networks, such as cellular Fourth Generation (4G) and/or Fifth Generation (5G) communication networks. Once the location of a particular piece of networking equipment is known, this location can then be exported or collected by a central controller, which can utilize the location for various purposes, such as performing further validation of the location of the equipment to confirm that the equipment is being used at a location for which its use is allowed by the equipment manufacturer.
