Abstract

This disclosure describes techniques to perform real time replication of software application data across multiple data centers. Updates to application data recorded at each data center are transmitted to a publish–subscribe (pub/sub) service. The pub/sub service receives updates from all connected data centers and transmits the updates as a message via outbound message queues. The received messages are processed and application data updates are ingested into suitable data structures that support the software application. When an update to application data is received, a document is prepared based on the update. The document is published to a pub/sub queue. The document is received at a message processor of each connected data center. Search index data is ingested from the queue and updated based on the received data. In this manner, updates are provided to all connected data centers in near real-time.
