Abstract
This paper describes a configuration which enables to experience a vertically narrow, horizontally wider virtual image projection area in the field of view. The configuration consists of two identical projection units. Each projection unit contains two overhead video displays, a beam splitter, a convex lens part and a concave mirror part. The configuration utilizing the two identical projection units, will have the capability to project virtual imagery onto the field of view of the user, where the virtual image projecting area will be a vertically narrow, horizontally wider space.
