Abstract

Online video streaming, including streaming of live events, is popular, with a wide range of devices such as televisions, computers, smartphones, etc. being used to access video content. Users may face issues such as video latency, app bugs, recommendation-related problems, etc. when using video streaming products. Delays in issue identification and resolution can degrade the user experience and may also impact agreements with content partners. This disclosure describes techniques for real-time monitoring of feedback reports for video streaming products (or other software products/services) to identify issues that degrade the user experience. A publish/subscribe module subscribes to feedback reports. Feedback reports are filtered to only retain non-identifiable data of interest and for specific products. The data is analyzed by a live monitoring service and stored in a database with low latency. Dashboard views and alerts for potential issues are automatically generated, enabling quick resolution.
