Abstract
The present disclosure relates to intelligent optimized state dump (aka core dump, memory dump, system dump, etc.) collection. This includes an intelligent marker-based approach to collect only for active containers/application/component/service, such as based on a service specific marker that is present on only containers/components impacted by service. The application intelligently decides based on its current dynamic state on what needs to be collected in the state dump (such as what to collect in case of scale scenario), and automatically chooses the relevant data for the state dump, without user intervention. This approach reduces collection time, helps collect specific issue information, provides better utilization of computer resources, enables faster root cause identification, and the like.
