Abstract
The present disclosure relates to Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (TWAMP) sessions over controlled Segment Routing-Traffic Engineering (SR-TE) paths. A new field “reply path identifier” is proposed in TWAMP control request message, to initiate TWAMP Req/Resp tests sessions over SR-TE paths. A 32bit fixed length field “reply path identifier” contains color of the reverse SR policy for SR-MPLS and SRv6. A New Error code is proposed in Response, if the SR-TE path does not exist on a Server. This can enable TWAMP for two-way delay measurements on SR-TE paths for bidirectional data traffic.
