Abstract

Aspects include illuminating an eye with a light source, polarizing light illuminated from the light source with a first polarizer such that the light is in a first polarization state, and reflecting the light at a first surface and a second surface of the eye. A first reflected light is in the first polarization state and a second reflected light is in a second polarization state. Aspects also include polarizing, by a second polarizer, the first and second reflected light such that the second reflected light is propagated through the second polarizer to a sensor. The specular reflections associated with the first reflected light is reduced relative to specular reflections associated with the second reflected light. Aspects further include detecting the second reflected light polarized by the second polarizer and capturing, based on the detecting of the second reflected light, a first glint image of the at least one eye.
