Abstract
The invention relates to an oven with a Sabbath mode. The oven comprises a control unit with an algorithm enabled to control both a heating arrangement and a user interface in compliance with the Jewish Laws for Sabbath celebration. Furthermore, the heating arrangement is adapted to deliver a low and constant power output without cycling intervals, thereby achieving a relatively low temperature inside an oven cavity. The heating arrangement comprises a two-circuit bottom heater or alternatively a first and a second heating elements in serial connection. Accordingly, a Sabbath mode enables an oven to warm food for a prolonged period without cooking it, and to comply with the rules extending to the use of household appliances in accordance with the requirements for the Sabbath celebration.
