Abstract
system for automated, quality-driven lifecycle management of incident detectors is disclosed. Each detector is managed through a state machine having active-monitoring, grace-period, safe-evaluation, quarantine, manually-disabled, persistent-problem, and manual-override states. A periodic transition engine ingests quality signals for every detector and automatically moves detectors between states. In a safe-evaluation state, a detector executes normally but all generated alerts are automatically suppressed while performance data is collected. Failing detectors are moved to time-bounded quarantine that automatically expires and re-evaluates. Post-edit grace and auto-expiring manual overrides provide bounded human control with structured feedback and audit trails.
