Abstract
Automated coding agents can encounter friction and inefficiency when using software development tools, such as command-line interfaces, that are architected for human interaction. A unified, programmatic interface can be provided for consumption by these agents to orchestrate a software development and deployment lifecycle. The interface can operate based on principles optimized for machine interaction, such as non-interactive execution and the generation of structured, machine-parsable outputs, for example, in a JavaScript Object Notation format. By abstracting disparate underlying tools into a coherent command surface, this approach may create a more predictable environment, which can reduce computational costs and improve the reliability of automated software production.
