Abstract

A computer generates a hash value based on a commitment data. The computer signs the hash value using a private key to form a signature. The computer posts the hash value and the signature to a blockchain. The computer provides the commitment data to a receiver device. After a predetermined amount of time the commitment data is posted to the blockchain. A smart contract verifies the hash value using the commitment data.
