Abstract
The present disclosure provides a system and method for generating and verifying designated-verifier non-interactive cryptographic arguments. The method includes generating a common reference string (CRS) and verifier-specific cryptographic information including a designated verifier secret key, and receiving a statement representing an instance of a computational relation and a corresponding witness. Commitment information and encrypted information are generated based on the statement and the witness using one or more commitment operations and one or more encryption operations. A non-interactive batch proof is generated to collectively establish validity of the commitment information and the encrypted information. A designated-verifier argument package comprising the non-interactive batch argument, the commitment information, the encrypted information, and encoded auxiliary information is transmitted to a designated verifier. The designated verifier verifies the proof and recovers the encoded auxiliary information using the designated verifier secret key to determine validity of the statement, thereby enabling efficient and reusable designated-verifier proof verification.
