Abstract
Fuel cell electric vehicles are rapidly expanding, especially in heavy-duty transport and long-haul logistics, where they offer faster refueling times and longer ranges than traditional battery-electric vehicles. Fuel cell systems frequently integrate a turbocharger-like setup that includes a compressor, turbine, an expander and need an expensive humidifier and a water separator. The proposed solution discloses a novel fuel cell architecture that eliminates the need of a separate humidifier and water separator.
