Abstract
A self-contained software instrument integrating five subsystems — a pluggable sound engine, a shared effects chain, a drawable automation layer addressing parameters through a shared registry, a direct post-effects file recorder, and a versioned backward-compatible project persistence layer — structured so the effects/automation/recording/persistence shell is written once and reused unchanged across structurally different, interchangeable engines (e.g., a subtractive synth and an arpeggiator).
