Abstract
Control software goes through multiple changes by different people at various phases during its lifetime from design to commissioning to operation to end of life. These frequent software changes make it difficult to track, validate, and maintain consistency. There is no Versioning system to track all the changes contextually. Failures due to software quality issues are often addressed reactively. A Sophisticated versioning system will be of interest to cater Software Quality. Commercial systems like GIT are not designed for Control Software.
