Abstract

This disclosure, Contactless Orbital Debris Shepherd (CODS) presents a scalable, contactless orbital debris removal system using coordinated ion beam momentum transfer, photon-assisted impulse control, and deployable drag augmentation devices. The system eliminates the need for mechanical capture and enables multi-target debris mitigation through autonomous formation flight and distributed operations.
