Abstract
Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Operational Technology (OT) networks lack a mechanism to regulate how much traffic is introduced into the network based on real-time conditions, leading to congestion and degradation of critical communications. The proposal introduces a machine learning–based system that derives a safe transmission rate using cross-layer network telemetry and enforces it at gateways, brokers, or network elements. By enabling predictive and controlled traffic admission, the proposed method ensures stable and reliable operation in industrial environments.
