Abstract
A mobile application identifies roll-format media and estimates remaining length from a side-view image. The system reads product labels by barcode or OCR. It records roll parameters. It segments the roll profile. It computes length from outer diameter, core size, and material properties. Target accuracy is at least 90 percent, preferably 95 percent. The approach reduces waste and cost. It improves sustainability.
