Abstract
This disclosure describes GCI #121 v5.0, a multi‑modal engineering system for intravascular obstruction removal and regenerative payload delivery. The system integrates several previously unreleased GCI inventions into a unified closed‑loop architecture called Closed‑Loop Regenerative Revascularization (CLRR). The design combines: (1) Acoustic vortex thrombolysis using a laminar‑helical manifold (GCI #118) and a multi‑element ultrasound array (GCI #75) to generate controlled vortex flow and acoustic energy without mechanical rotation; (2) Real‑time microvascular sensing using a fiber‑optic IMR feedback loop (GCI #14) enhanced by a quantum‑tunneling bio‑impedance switch (GCI #122) to maintain sensing accuracy during debris load; and (3) Synchronized biological payload delivery, including nanoparticle‑encapsulated mitochondrial material (GCI #16, GCI #11, GCI #20), released only during electrically safe cardiac intervals using a refractory‑phase timing protocol (GCI #129).
The system architecture includes a dual‑lumen catheter with helical jet ports, a 1.8 MHz ultrasound array, a high‑frequency IMR sensor, an aspiration and filtration loop, and a timing‑locked biological release mechanism. The mechanical subsystem maintains laminar flow at Reynolds numbers below 2000 to reduce shear‑induced activation. The sensing subsystem differentiates vessel wall impedance from clot impedance to support autonomous termination logic. The biological subsystem synchronizes payload release to the cardiac cycle to avoid electrical interference.
This disclosure covers the engineering principles, subsystem interfaces, and control logic required to integrate vortex dynamics, acoustic energy, real‑time sensing, and synchronized payload delivery into a single closed‑loop platform. The system is intended as a technical framework for future research and development in multi‑modal intravascular devices.
