Abstract
The present disclosure relates to automated network diagnostics and remediation within large-scale cloud and virtualized network environments. Specifically, it describes a system and method for automatically differentiating between network-induced latency and application-server-induced latency without manual intervention. The system utilizes an event-driven workflow where an anomaly detection engine triggers a programmatic, flow-specific packet capture session on a network switch upon detecting performance symptoms. Captured data is automatically routed to an analysis server which executes scripts to measure and compare Network Round Trip Time (RTT) against Server Response Time. Based on this comparison, the system generates a definitive root cause verdict. Furthermore, the disclosure outlines a broader framework for proactive prevention and rapid remediation of various network anomalies, including hardware degradation, configuration inconsistencies, and traffic congestion, utilizing streaming telemetry and automated mitigation workflows.
