Abstract
The technology involves debugging and testing of changes to operating systems. Aspects of the technology include replacing every dynamic string in a log with a placeholder value, and deterministically assigning the same tags or placeholders across consecutive runs. Lines can be diff'ed to determine their novelty in the triage process. The display of log pairs may be streamlined to hide all lines except the unique lines, which is beneficial in triaging build failures.
