Abstract
This disclosure addresses the handover of Radio Resource Control connections in 5G Systems, specifically the offloading of traffic by handing over a connection from one radio technology to another. The proposed solution involves triggering the handover based on other criteria than signal strength. Example criteria are service time, latency, and location of the respective User Equipment. By allowing inter-technology handovers, better resource management can be achieved, enhancing connectivity and service continuity.
