Abstract
Performing searches on extended reality (XR) devices can be inefficient, as users can struggle to manage multiple information streams, track their search history, and organize findings within an immersive environment. This disclosure describes an enhanced search management interface for XR devices. The interface displays content across three distinct portions of the display. A first portion shows the primary search results or selected web content. A second portion maintains a visual log of the user’s search path, including previously visited pages and the original results list. A third portion functions as a note-taking area where users can drag and drop links, text, or images. This multi-window approach improves the user’s ability to navigate complex searches, reference previously viewed content, and organize information seamlessly within the XR environment, thereby streamlining the research process.
