Abstract
A micro power generation system is proposed herein that can be used to power a small device, such as a wireless access point (AP), to reduce data center power demands for low powered devices, thereby making such devices self-sufficient. The power generation system utilizes air duct flow, batteries, small generators with low starting resistance, and hybrid turbine blades. Tests indicate that such a system can consistently generate 5 watts or more.
