Abstract
This disclosure presents a fully online measurement, design, and manufacturing workflow for irregularly shaped stair treads — including rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal, polygonal, spiral, wedge, and semicircular forms.
The method converts customer-provided photographs into measurable geometric data using digital calibration (planar homography and scaling), computes step dimensions via geometric derivation and tolerance management, applies parametric edge clearances for safety and aesthetics, adapts rug patterns seamlessly across varied shapes, and finally enables non-slip, pile-free rug production.
The process eliminates on-site measurement and enables completion in approximately 1 day for measurement, 1 day for production, and 3–7 days for global delivery.
