Abstract
This disclosure presents a high-fidelity PDF-to-XPS conversion component designed for seamless integration within Windows-based print workflows. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on system-level print drivers or the Microsoft XPS Document Writer, this solution employs a rasterization-based pipeline. Each page of the input PDF is converted into a high-resolution image and embedded into a fixed-layout XPS file, preserving the original layout, fonts, and visual fidelity. The component is built to align with the Print Support App (PSA) infrastructure, offering deterministic, driver-independent output suitable for rendering, archival, and downstream processing within the end-to-end print pipeline.
