Abstract
Signaling, as defined by Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards, for General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Tunneling Protocol (GTP) tunnel establishment is widely recognized as being inefficient. Through this proposal, new GTP signaling is defined that may provide improved GTP tunnel setup procedures.
