Abstract
Artists with motor disabilities can face significant challenges in expressing their creativity using traditional art tools and methods. This disclosure describes techniques that leverage generative AI (GenAI) with assistive input devices to make creative drawing and painting accessible to artists with disabilities, empowering them to translate their artistic vision into reality. Examples of assistive input devices include eye-trackers, game controllers, MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) controllers, etc. The techniques enable artists with motor disabilities to create art by interpreting their inputs and by generating corresponding visual outputs, fostering creative exploration and artistic expression. Two example implementations, one based on web technologies and the other leveraging a local graphical processing unit (GPU), are described.
