The carbobenzyloxy (Cbz) group is widely used for protecting amines in synthetic chemistry due to its stability and ease of removal. Traditionally, Cbz deprotection relies on palladium-catalyzed hydrogenolysis under hydrogen gas, which, while effective, presents several drawbacks—particularly in commercial-scale applications
