Abstract

This document describes an augmented reality (AR) platform designed to enhance last-meter arrival experiences through visual navigation. The platform leverages computer vision techniques and mobile device capabilities to provide users with real-time guidance in complex or unfamiliar environments. The AR system analyzes the user's surroundings, performs a visual frame matching, and overlays contextual information onto the user's view, thereby facilitating seamless navigation. The platform includes components such as a visual tracking module, a route planning algorithm, and an AR rendering engine. By utilizing the system, users may experience improvements in wayfinding efficiency and reduced cognitive load during the final stages of their journey. The system may be implemented using a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or wearable device equipped with a camera.
