Abstract
This disclosure describes the novel technique of leveraging a presenter’s gaze-based attention focus and real-time speech to automatically point/highlight the relevant text on a PowerPoint slide during a presentation. In the context of this disclosure, gaze-tracking technology is the combination of screen-based hardware and software-based technology to accurately track the retina of the presenter. Real-time speech detection refers to identifying the presenter’s speech and converting it to text using a microphone and AI –based software solution. When a presenter presents a slide to the audience, gaze tracking detection could be leveraged to identify the area of interest (figures/text) on the slide. Furthermore, speech detection could be leveraged to infer additional context to automatically point and highlight figures and text on the slide, thereby enabling an easy way for the audience to follow and understand the presenter clearly.
