Abstract
The technology described in this paper relates to error checking for multiplier circuits using modulo operation outputs. For any base greater than 2, the modulo of the base subtracted by 1 can indicate if a multiplication result of the multiplier circuit is wrong. This allows for detecting errors in logic where data is modified, such as multiplier circuits in hardware accelerators.
