Abstract
This publication describes systems and methods for protecting security and privacy in mobile artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystems. The use of protected virtual machines (pVMs) serves to isolate the AI components of the ecosystem, ensuring both privacy and security for end-user data. By running the AI on a separate operating system (OS), even a compromise of the main OS does not threaten the integrity of the data and output of the AI. In addition, the AI can be implemented on separate hardware than that of the main OS, such as separate processor(s), memory, etc., making user data inaccessible to malicious actors.
