Abstract
Proposed herein is a DDI system (e.g., a combined Domain Name System (DNS) server, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, and Internet Protocol (IP) Address Management (IPAM) system) that can be utilized to facilitate IP address retention for applications that demand DNS, DHCP, and IPAM operations when a device utilizing such applications moves between different access network technologies, such as between a non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) access network (e.g., Wi-Fi) and a 3GPP access network (e.g., cellular).
