Abstract

This document describes a technique for multi-view video compositing in next-generation video codecs. The technique leverages subpicture and metadata capabilities to enable flexible and efficient composition of multiple video streams into a single display output. It supports various layout configurations, including overlapping and non-overlapping regions, and allows for both codec-side and display-side compositing depending on the complexity of the desired visual effects.
