Abstract
This disclosure describes a system for remediating misconfigurations in cloud resources. Cloud resources can deviate from secure configurations, which can be time consuming for administrators to correct manually. This system provides resource configuration profiles that store a set of configuration steps designed to restore a cloud resource’s secure state. These resource configuration profiles can be created manually, derived from templates, or generated automatically by the system. In one variation, the system can use large language models (LLMs) to generate resource configuration profiles. This system can detect cloud resource deviations and can recommend cloud resource configuration profiles to an administrator for correcting the deviations. Upon receiving a confirmation or selection of profiles from the administrator, the system can apply the profiles to the deviant cloud resources and restore their secure states.
