Abstract
Presented herein is a new operating approach for networks based on pre-defined sequences of network states that leverage pre-programmed forwarding tables and precise time synchronization. The operating approach can facilitate calendar-based network topology configurations, which can be applied to packet switching or optical networking, for a variety of artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) applications, as well as to quantum networking.
