Abstract
In mobile network environments, there are scenarios in which the N4 state of a user equipment (user/subscriber) session can become out-of-sync between control-plane and user-plane nodes of a mobile core network, which can lead to session deletions. In order to address such issues, techniques are proposed herein that provide for recovering user equipment (UE) session information without asking the user/UE to re-establish the session for scenarios in which N4 session state may become out-of-sync between control-plane and user-plane nodes, which may provide improvements over current standards-based handling of such scenarios.
